A Few Words About Us​

Green Crown Organization (GCO), a non-governmental organization dedicated to advocate for environmental conservation, climate action, and terrestrial pollution control, unite in our commitment to foster environmental sustainability, effective waste management, and poverty reduction. We strive to create lasting impact from the grassroots level, empowering women, adolescent girls and youth as key drivers of this transformative movement.

Envisioning a nation where people and the environment coexist in harmony, natural resources are conserved, local communities are empowered to lead positive environmental change.

Our Mission

Empowering the local communities in Tanzania especial women, adolescent girls and youth to participate actively in the fight against climate change, environmental degradation, terrestrial pollution and deforestation in order to ensure environmental sustainability and poverty alleviation.

Gender & Youth empowerment

We place women, adolescent girls and youth at the centre of environmental action ensuring gender equality, leadership opportunities and inclusive participation in decision-making.

Renewable Energy

We empower communities with innovative renewable energy solutions that reduce dependence on fossil fuels and create green livelihoods.

Environment & Climate action

We work to conserve ecosystems, promote sustainable land use, and address climate change through community-driven solutions, pollution control and climate education.

Advocacy, Research and Partnerships

We advocate for policies that strengthen environmental governance, conduct research to inform community-based interventions and build strong partnership with stakeholdes to mobilize resources.

Gender Based Violence (GBV) and HIV

We address the impact of gender based violence which increase vulnerability to HIV and undermines human dignity. Our work focus on prevention, survivor support, reducing stigma and engaging communities to challenge harmful norms, we build safer and more resilient societies.

Sexual Reproductive Health

We empower adolescent girls, women and youth with knowledge and access to reproductive health services. Through education on family planning, menstrual health and reproductive rights, we reduce inequalities and strengthen community wellbeing.
